Editing a Global Recommendation Override

Edit a global override for one of more recommendations.

For some recommendation types, you can customize the logic that Cloud Advisor uses. The default configuration uses the standard profile and the average methodology.

Note

Changes made to recommendation settings take effect the next time Cloud Advisor scans the tenancy.
  1. Open the navigation menu and click Governance & Administration. Under Cloud Advisor, click Settings.
  2. In the Customizations and overrides section, in the Global recommendations table, find the recommendation that you want to customize,
  3. At the end of the row, click the Actions menu (Actions Menu), and then click Customize.
  4. In the Customize recommendation logic panel, select the following items (if applicable), and then click Save changes.
    Note

    The Evaluation period and Methodology fields are available for only certain profile types and might not apply.
    • In the Evaluation period field, choose the time span that Cloud Advisor should use to collect data for recommendations.
    • In the Methodolog field, select either P95 or Average and then select the Conservative, Standard, or Aggressive profile. If needed, see Profile Descriptions.
    Changes made to your recommendation settings take effect the next time Cloud Advisor runs for your tenancy.
