Tagging a Snapshot
Manage tags for a File Storage snapshot.
Apply tags to resources to help organize them according to business needs. Apply tags at the time you create a resource, or update the resource later with the wanted tags. For general information about applying tags, see Resource Tags.
- Open the navigation menu and click Storage. Under File Storage, click File Systems.
- In the List scope section, under Compartment, select a compartment.
- Click the name of the file system used to create the snapshot.
- On the file system's details page, under Resources, click Snapshots.
- In the Snapshots list, click the name of the snapshot that you're interested in.
- On the snapshot's details page, click the Tags tab to view or edit the existing tags.
- Click Add tags to add new tags.
Use the
fs snapshot update
command and include the optional parameters--defined-tags
and--freeform-tags
to manage a snapshot's tags:oci fs snapshot update --snapshot-id <snapshot_OCID> --defined-tags <defined_tags> --freeform-tags <freeform_tags>
