Editing an Artifact

Learn how to edit only the name of a Terraform template artifact using Partner Portal.

To change the terraform file associated with the stack listing, create a new version of the listing.

The values that you can edit for an OCI Compute image artifact depends on the state of the listing with which the artifact is associated.

  • If you haven't submitted the associated listing for approval, you can edit all the fields of the OCI Compute Image artifact.
  • If the associated listing is in the submitted, published, or approved state, then you can only change the name of the OCI Compute Image artifact. To update any other value, follow these steps:
    1. Create a new version of the listing.
    2. Create a new artifact.
    3. Update the listing with the new package and artifact.
    4. Publish the listing with the updated artifact.

For example, use this process to enable or disable snapshots or to update the compatible shapes for an OCI Compute Image artifact that's already associated with a published listing.

To edit an artifact, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Partner Portal.
  2. Click the Artifacts iconArtifacts. The Artifacts page displays information such as artifact name and other details related to the artifacts.
  3. Select an artifact, click the Action menu Action Menu Icon next to the artifact, and then click Edit.
  4. Modify the information, and then click Save.
