Publishing a Listing

Learn how to manually publish a listing or publish automatically after review and approval.

When submitting your listing for review and approval, if you had opted to automatically publish your listing on approval, your listing will be automatically published to Oracle Cloud Marketplace after approval from Oracle. In addition, your listing moves from the Submitted tab to the Published tab. If you had opted to manually publish your listing, then you're ready for the final step: publish your listing to the marketplace.

Note

You can choose to auto-publish a listing only if you’re approved by Oracle to auto-publish listings. For information about receiving the required approvals to auto-publish your listing, write to marketplace-help_us_grp@oracle.com.

Before Publishing a Listing

You can publish your listings to Oracle Cloud Marketplace, where anyone can access the listing. If you want to share your listing with only a few customers, you can publish your listing as private. Private listings are not visible on Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

Based on your business requirement, decide if you want to publish your listing to Oracle Cloud Marketplace or if you want to publish the listing as private.

Before publishing the listing, ensure that:

  • You’ve created your listing, submitted it for review, and received approval from Oracle for your app or service listing.
  • Your OPN membership is active. If you aren't sure of your OPN status, contact Partner Assistance.
  • Your Oracle Cloud Marketplace Publisher Agreement is current.

Publishing a Listing as Private

You can publish your listings privately to a select list of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancies. This ensures that only customers in the specified Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancies can browse or launch these listings in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Marketplace. You can use this feature to publish your listings to a limited set of tenancies to test the listing before making it available publicly in Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

When you publish a listing as private, you’ll receive an email notification with the private URL for your listing. You can share the private URL with your customers. A customer who has the private URL can access the listing. When you publish a listing as private, the listing isn’t visible on Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

For additional security, you can further limit access of the private listing to the tenancies that you specify. In such a case, your customers must have the private URL for the listing and the required permissions to access the specified tenancy OCIDs to launch or view private listings. A customer who has the private URL, but can't access the specified tenancy OCID, won't be able access such a listing.
