Configuring Ranger Plugins in Apache Ambari

Note

Skip this step if your Big Data Service cluster version is 3.0.5 or later. The Big Data Service Version is displayed on the Cluster Information tab of the Cluster details page.
  1. Access Apache Ambari.
  2. From the side toolbar, under Services click Ranger.
  3. Click the Configs tab and select Ranger Plugin.
  4. Plugins for HDFS, YARN, and Hive are marked Off. Toggle to On.
    Note

    If you have configured HBase for Ranger, then toggle the plugin for HBase too.
  5. Save the changes.
  6. Restart all the affected services for the plugins to be active.
