Moving a Certificate Authority Between Compartments

Move a certificate authority (CA) to another compartment.

    1. On the Certificate Authorities list page, find the certificate that you want to work with. If you need help finding the list page or the certificate, see Listing Certificates.
    2. From the Actions menu for the certificate version, select Move resource.
      The Move resource panel opens.
    3. Select the destination compartment from the list.
    4. Select Move resource.

    If alarms are monitoring the certificate authority, update the alarms to reference the new compartment. For more information, see Updating an Alarm After Moving a Resource.

  • Use the oci certs-mgmt certificate-authority change-compartment command and required parameters to move a certificate authority from one compartment to another:

    oci certs-mgmt certificate-authority change-compartment --certificate-authority-id <CA_OCID> --compartment-id <new_compartment_OCID> [OPTIONS]

    For example:

    oci certs-mgmt certificate-authority change-compartment --certificate-authority-id ocid1.certificateauthority.oc1.<region>.<unique_id> --compartment-id ocid1.compartment.oc1..<unique_id>
