Creating a Forecast Capacity Request
Creating a forecast capacity request for a cloud resource in a tenancy and a Availability domain.
- Open the navigation menu, click Governance and Administration, and then click Control Center.
- Click Capacity Requests.
- On the Capacity requests page, click Create capacity request.

In the Create capacity request panel, provide the following details:
- Select Request type as Forecast.
- Select Compute as the namespace for the capacity request.
- Select a region.
- Provide a description for the capacity request.
- Use the date picker and select an expected capacity handover date.

Under Forecast request, select one of the following options:
- Fill request manually: Select the option and enter the following details for each resource that you want to transfer from one tenancy to another.
- Resource name
- Resource Type
- Tenancy name
- Forecast quantity
- Availability domain
Click Add Resource to add one or more resources for capacity forecast.- Upload request CSV: Select this option to update a CSV with all the resources to be transferred from one tenancy to another.
- Click Download blank CSV.
- Fill the capacity forecast details for all resources and save the file.
- Under Drop file, either drop the saved CSV file or click select one to browse and upload the saved CSV file.
- Fill request manually: Select the option and enter the following details for each resource that you want to transfer from one tenancy to another.

To submit the request immediately, click Create and Submit.
Note
After you submit, OCI creates and assigns a name to the forecast request and you can view the request details in the Capacity requests summary table. - Click Create and submit the request post creation.

On the Capacity requests page, click the name of the capacity request you created to view the forecast details.
On the Request details page, you can view the following capacity forecast details:
- Resource name
- Resource Type
- Tenancy name
- Forecast quantity
- Availability domain
This task can't be performed using the CLI.
This task can't be performed using the API.
