Analyzing Resource Capacity

Analyze capacity requests of resources for a specific period.

• 1. Open the navigation menu, click Governance and Administration. Under Control Center, click Capacity Analysis.
  2. On the Capacity Analysis page, apply the following filters to view capacity analysis report for resources within a specific time frame.
     • Tenancy name: Select the tenancy name from the list.
     • Start Date: Select a start date from the calender date picker.
     • End Date: Select an end date from the calender date picker.
     • View type: Select the view type as Period summary or Detailed.
       • Period summary: Displays a summary of resource details for the selected time frame (in months).
         • Period: Selected time (in months) to view the resource details within this period.
         • Total available: Number of resources available within the specified time frame.
         • Total demanded: Number of resources demanded within the specified time frame.
         • Total supplied: Number of resources supplied within the specified time frame.
         • Total rejected: Number of resources rejected within the specified time frame.
         • Total canceled: Number of resources canceled within the specified time frame.
         • Total unfulfilled: Number of resources unfulfilled within the specified time frame.
       • From the actions menu (three vertical dots), select View Details.

         The View Details page displays resource details and graphical representation for the particular resource its associated capacity requests.

       You can also click View Capacity Analysis Chart to see a graphical representation of the resource details for the selected time frame (in months).

       • Detailed: Provides a detailed report of the selected resources within the specified time frame. Apply the following filters to view the resource details.
         • Filter by resource name: Select one or more resources to view its details.
         • Filter by period: Select a specific time (in months) to view the resource details within this period.
       • From the actions menu (three vertical dots), select View Details.

         The View Details page displays resources details and graphical representation for the particular resource and its associated capacity requests.

     Click View Capacity Analysis Chart to see a graphical representation of the resource details for the selected time frame (in months).

• Use the list command and required parameters to get an overview of real-time capacity requests data across resources in Control Center:

  oci capacity-management occ-overview-collection list [OPTIONS]
