Creating a Folder

In Data Integration, create a folder in a project, or create a folder in another folder. You can have only two levels of folders in a project. Projects and folders are found in a workspace.

    1. On the Folders list page in a project, select Create folder and then select Create new. If you need help finding the list page, see Listing Folders.

      If you want to create a subfolder in a folder, select the name of a parent folder and then select Create folder. You can create only two levels of folders in a project.

    2. In the Create folder panel, enter a name and an optional description.

      The identifier is a system-generated value based on the name. You can change the value, but after you create and save the folder, you can't update the identifier.

    3. To open the folder details page after Data Integration creates the folder, select View details upon creation.
    4. Choose one of the following options:

      • To create the folder, select Create.

      • To create the folder later using Resource Manager and Terraform, select Save as stack to save the resource definition as a Terraform configuration.

    The new folder is listed on the Folders page.

    If you selected View details upon creation, the details page of the new folder opens.

  • Use the oci data-integration folder create command and required parameters to create a folder:

    oci data-integration folder create [OPTIONS]
