Learn what configuration to expect in the Oracle Cloud Console for the Oracle AI Database@AWS service after account linking.

After you link an OCI account, you can confirm Oracle AI Database@AWS activation by checking a few pages in the Oracle Cloud Console.

An OCI tenancy can contain multiple Oracle AI Database@AWS subscription mappings. When verifying an additional subscription, check the Subscription ID for the subscription that you just activated. The presence of an existing Oracle AI Database@AWS mapping doesn't confirm that the additional subscription has been activated.

Subscription Mapping

To verify the subscription mapping in the tenancy, follow these steps:
  1. In the Oracle Cloud Console, search for Subscription Mapping and select the link for this service.

  2. Locate the newly activated subscription with the subscription type ORACLEDBATAWS. If multiple subscriptions have this type, identify the new mapping by its Subscription ID.

  3. Select the Subscription ID link to view the details for the subscription.

    The Mapped date field displays the date that you performed the Oracle AI Database@AWS onboarding.

Limits

To verify the limits in the tenancy, follow these steps:
  1. In the Oracle Cloud Console, search for Limits, Quotas and Usage and then select Limits, Quotas and Usage.

  2. Select Edit filter and select the following values:
    • Service: Database
    • Scope: Select the availability domain (AD) that you want to check. If you don't know the AD, you can check the three AD choices in the Scope for your current region to see your limits in the table.
    • Subscription: Select the Oracle AI Database@AWS subscription that you're verifying. If multiple subscriptions end in ORACLEDBATAWS, select the entry corresponding to the Subscription ID verified in the previous section. Adding a subscription doesn't automatically increase database resource limits.
    • Compartment: Select the root compartment for your OCI tenancy.

  3. Confirm that your tenancy has Available database infrastructure resources for Oracle AI Database@AWS.

Compartments

To verify the compartments for Oracle AI Database@AWS, follow these steps:
  1. In the Oracle Cloud Console, search for Compartments and then select Compartments.

  2. Confirm existence of a compartment whose name starts with Multicloudlink_AWS_.
    Warning

    After Oracle AI Database@AWS is linked to OCI, the Multicloudlink_AWS_ compartment is automatically created. This compartment contains service-managed resources, including IAM policies and groups. When resources are created, subcompartments are automatically created to map the AWS account. The Multicloudlink_AWS_ compartment is protected by restrictive IAM policies to safeguard the compartments and its resources from customer modifications. To preserve service integrity, OCI administrators must not rename or modify these compartments, their descriptions, or move or delete any resources created and managed by the service. Doing so creates a risk that the service loses its ability to manage those resources.
  3. (Optional) To view details about the compartment, select the compartment name.
    The details page opens for the selected compartment. A child compartment whose name includes resource-anchor exists.

    When you see that the child compartment with "resource-anchor" in the name has been created and is in the "Active" state, you can access the Oracle AI Database@AWS Dashboard in the AWS console.

  4. (Optional) To access the Oracle AI Database@AWS Dashboard in the AWS console:
    1. In AWS, navigate to the Oracle AI Database@AWS product page by searching for Oracle AI Database@AWS.
    2. In the Getting started section, select the Dashboard link.
