Creating an Environment Type

Create a custom environment type in Fleet Application Management. When you create an environment type, it's automatically assigned an active status.

Define an environment type to prioritize resources based on the implementation phase of the applications hosted by them.
    1. Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management. Under Fleet Application Management, click Administration.
    2. Under Metadata management (on the left side of the page), click Environment types.
    3. Click Create environment type.
    4. In the Create environment type panel, enter a unique name and description for the environment type. Avoid entering confidential information.
For example, your organization might support beta, or prod, or dev environment types.
    5. Click Create.
The environment type is created and is available for selection when you create an environment-type fleet.
