Onboarding Fleet Application Management
Start Fleet Application Management by onboarding the service.
Note
Update onboarding policies for an existing OCI tenant, and onboard Fleet Application Management for a new OCI tenant. See Updating Onboarding Policies in Fleet Application Management.
- Important
This onboarding task must be performed by a tenancy administrator in your organization.- Open the navigation menu and select Observability & Management, and then select Fleet Application Management.
- On the Fleet Application Management overview page, view the basic information about the service and links to the product documentation.
- (Tenancy administrator only) Select Initiate onboarding.
- On the Enable Fleet Application Management page, switch on the Allow Fleet Application Management to create the following policies toggle.

To allow Fleet Application Management to attach Tagging information to fleets, in the Tagging section, switch on the following toggles:
- Allow Fleet Application Management to tag resources with fleet name using "FAMS-Tags.Fleet-Name" tag
- Allow Fleet Application Management to tag resources with cost tracking tag using "FAMS-Tags.FAMS-Managed" tag
- Select Enable.
All the listed IAM policies are applied to the tenancy in a specific management region for Fleet Application Management to be functional. After the tenancy administrator applies all policies for a user, the user can navigate to the Fleet Application Management fleets page and create fleets. Use the oci fleet-apps-management fleet-apps-management-admin onboarding create command and required parameters to onboard Fleet Application Management:
oci fleet-apps-management fleet-apps-management-admin onboarding create --compartment-id <compartment_OCID> [OPTIONS]
