Chatting with Agents in Generative AI Agents

Before you start, ensure that you have an agent with an endpoint.

  1. In the navigation bar of the Console, select a region that hosts Generative AI Agents, for example, US Midwest (Chicago). If you don't know which region to select, see Regions with Generative AI Agents.
  2. Open the navigation menu and click Analytics & AI. Under AI Services, click Generative AI Agents.
  3. On the left side of the page, click Chat.
  4. Under Agent compartment select the compartment that contains the agent that you want to chat with.
  5. Under Agent endpoint compartment select the compartment that contains the endpoint for the agent that you want to chat with.
  6. Select an agent to chat with.
  7. Select the endpoint for the agent.

  8. Start a conversation by typing a message.
  9. Click Submit.
  10. Enter a new prompt or to continue your chat conversation, enter a follow-up prompt and click Submit.
  11. (Optional) If you enabled trace and citations for the selected endpoint, review the log section.

  12. (Optional) To start a new conversation, click Reset Chat session.
