Creating an Approval Template

Create a workflow in Managed Access that routes approval for access requests from service representatives.

  • Create the users and groups required to approve support requests.
  • Ensure all approved users and all users in groups have verified their emails. Managed Access can't send notifications to unverified email addresses.
    1. On the Approval templates list page, select Create approval template. If you need help finding the list page, see Listing Approval Templates.
    2. Enter a name for the template. Avoid entering confidential information.
    3. (Optional) Change the compartment.
    4. (Optional) Add tags to the approval template.
    5. Select Enable auto-approval to automatically approve access requests that use this template. When using automatic approval, you don't set up specific approvers.
    6. To specify users or groups to approve the request, select Add approvers and specify the following:
      • Domain compartment: Select the compartment of the domain.
      • Domain: Select the managed domain.
      • Type: Select user or group.
      • Name: Specify the user or group to receive notifications.
      Note

      You can add a maximum of three approvers.
    7. Select Update.
    8. Select Create approval template.
