Restoring from an OCI Database with PostgreSQL Backup

Restore an OCI Database with PostgreSQL database system from an existing backup.

Warning

You might lose data if you restore a database system. We recommend that you create a manual backup of the database system before restoring.
    1. Open the navigation menu and select Databases. Under PostgreSQL, select DB Systems.
    2. (Optional) In the List scope section, under Compartment, select a compartment.
    3. Select the database system that you want to restore.
    4. On the database system details page, select More actions, then select Restore.
    5. In the Restore window, choose the backup that you want to restore from.
    6. Select Restore.
  • Use the oci psql db-system restore command and required parameters to restore a database from a backup:

    oci psql --db-system-id <db_system_OCID> --backup-id <backup_OCID> [OPTIONS]
