General Error Messages

Use troubleshooting information to address general error messages in Pulse.

You might receive the following error messages while using Oracle Pulse. For all these messages, the recommended action is to contact your Service Delivery Manager or Oracle Support.
Error Message Possible Cause
An unexpected error occurred during the login process. Please check back later or contact Oracle Support.
  • An issue occurred when retrieving your user information.
An unexpected error occurred while submitting new host access requests. An issue occurred when retrieving your user information.
Unable to retrieve requested data
  • The backend responded with an error page.

  • A communication error occurred
ERROR
  • An error occurred when processing the document

  • The document is invalid
  • The request is missing a parameter.
No data found
  • No data was found for the selected time period

  • No data was found that corresponds to the search or filter criteria
  • No data was found in the backend
No activity during selected month No activities are created that count towards CSU charges.

Host Access Error Messages

You might receive the following host access errors when using Oracle Pulse.
Error Message Action
ORA-06505:PL/SQL: Could not find program unit being called

Clear the browser cache and start a new session. You can also use Incognito mode or try using a different browser

First Name and Last Name can not be the same

If you get this message when using the reset password feature, verify and ensure that the First Name and Last Name are not the same in the MOS user profile

First Name or Last Name or Known as of User contain unsupported special characters

If you get this message when using the reset password feature, verify and ensure that the First Name and Last Name do not contain any special characters in the MOS user profile.

User does not have any hosts

If you get this message when using the reset password feature, verify if you have access to one or more hosts already. The reset password feature returns an error by design if there are no accounts provisioned yet (Linux and/or Windows).

Requester User(Email) is invalid

If you get this message when using the reset password feature, verify that the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) email address is correct and that the SDM is active in the internal CMP system. The reset password feature returns an error by design if the SDM is disabled or inactive. If the SDM email is valid, you have the accounts, and you continue to get the message, create a service request in My Oracle Support.

You do not have any groups or entitlements associated. Please contact your internal customer designated CUA If you get this message when selecting OS Accounts from the Pulse main menu, no policies are associated with your account. Contact your Customers Users Administrator (CUA) to grant the required policies using the Users administration functionality. The following policies can be assigned.
