Description of the image oac_private_pac

This image shows two boxes labeled Customer On Premise and Oracle Cloud Customer Tenancy.

  • Customer On Premise: The DNS name for the on-premise network is custcorp.com.

This box includes a database labeled Customer On Premise Database cdb02.

An arrow labeled Private Access Channel points from a circle labeled Customer Premise Equipment to the Customer On Premise Database cdb02.

  • Oracle Cloud Customer Tenancy: This box includes two boxes labeled Customer OCI VCN and Analytics Instance.

    • Customer OCI VCN: This box includes a Dynamic Routing Gateway, a Service Subnet with an Analytics instance private access channel, and a Data Subnet with two database sources (Customer VCN Database db01 and Private ADW adw01).

The DNS name for the customer OCI VCN is cust.oraclevcn.com.

A Private Access Channel arrow connects the private Analytics Instance to the Service Subnet in Customer OCI VCN. The same Private Access Channel arrow continues to all three private data sources: Customer On Premise Database cdb02, Private ADW adw01, and Customer Database in VCN db01. To access the on-premise data source, the arrow exits the Customer OCI VCN box through the Dynamic Routing Gateway and enters the Customer On Premise box through the Customer Premise Equipment.

    • Analytics Instance: This box represents an Oracle Analytics Cloud instance created with a private endpoint, and a private access channel that enables access to three Private DNS Zones:

      • custcorp.com - enables access the on-premise database (cdb02) in the customer's corporate network.
      • cust.oraclevcn.com - enables access to the database (db01) in the customer's VCN.
      • adw.<region>.oraclecloud.com - enables access to the private Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (adw01) in the customer's VCN.
