Updating Replication Configuration for a Volume

On Compute Cloud@Customer, you cannot change the availability domain of a volume replica by updating the replica or the volume. If you want to change the availability domain of a replica, you must delete the replica and then re-enable replication for that volume, specifying the new replication configuration values.

To change the availability domain in the replication configuration for a boot or block volume:

  1. Disable replication on the volume where you want to change the replication configuration. See Disabling Replication for a Boot or Block Volume. Disabling replication deletes the existing replica.

  2. Re-enable replication on the volume, specifying the new configuration values. See Enabling Replication When You Update a Volume.
