Validating an Identity

Validates that network routes between the target database and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are set up correctly, the required packages are properly installed and configured, so that the resource principal connection can make calls to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure using the identity.

It also validates that the credential and DBMS_CLOUD package is set up correctly and that connection can be established to the target database using the specified credential key and connection details.

  1. Open the navigation menu and select Developer Services.
  2. In the Database Tools section, select Connections.
  3. Click the name of the connection that you are interested in.
    Identity is available only for a connection that uses resource principal.
  4. On the connection details page, select the Identities tab.
  5. Click the identity you're interested in to view its details.
  6. From the Actions menu, click Validate.
  7. Click Validate to confirm that you want to validate the identity.
The results of the validation are displayed.
