Applications
Click Applications to view the table of Java applications for the selected fleet.
The table presents a list of applications that have been started and run for more than one second during a specified time period, by default the previous week. The data is aggregated daily. You can filter by selecting an : Option, Operation, and relevant Value.
- Application: name of the application that was started or run for more than one second.
- Type: such as VM start or javaws application
- Managed instances count: approximate number of hosts for which a management agent has reported that the application has been started and run for more than one second, such as 1 - Linux (1)
- Java runtimes count: number of Java applications installed at the selected time period
- First invocation: date and time when the application was first invoked
- Last invocation: date and time when the application was last invoked
Usage tracker records are created when an application starts. Analyze application invocation, not application usageLong running applications will only be displayed on a report if they were started during the reporting period. For example, an application that was started four weeks ago will not be displayed in the default time period (one week).
You can see if the application has been started more than once during the specified time period. If the time stamp in the first invocation column differs from the value in the last invocation column, then the application has been started more than once.
You might see references to JMS agent and plug-in internal processes such as:
org.tanukisoftware.wrapper.WrapperSimpleApp
com.oracle.jms.agent.JMSPlugin
com.oracle.jms.agent.utils.jvm.MacOSVirtualMachine$Helper
- macOS:
/Library/Oracle/mgmt_agent
- Linux:
/opt/oracle/mgmt_agent
- Windows:
C:\Oracle\mgmt_agent
If you wish to hide the sample applications from the application table, add the corresponding paths to the include or exclude path in the Configure Agent Settings.
