Java Release Details
The detailed view of the selected Java release provides you with complete information about the release, including download links, script friendly download commands, and binary files specific to each operating system and architecture.
The detailed view of Java release is divided into three sections:
- Java runtime information such as:
- Version: version number of the Java release
- Security state: provides current status of the security baseline, such as Up to date
- Release content: link to specific Release notes
- Release date: the release date of that specific version
- EOSL date: the support end date of that specific Java release
- Additional information: link to release specific documentation
- Tokens for Script Friendly Download: you can select a token to generate script friendly command from the list of active tokens. The list contains all active tokens specific to that release, along with Generated by and token Validity information. You can Generate New Token for that release as well.
- JDK Docker File: download JDK docker file specific to the selected Java version. If you have selected JDK 8, then Server JRE docker file is also available for download.
- Java SE Development Kit: download links pertaining to each Operating system and architecture are available. The following information is presented for each Java binary:
- Operating system and architecture: all Operating systems and architecture pertaining to the selected Java version is listed
- File size: the file size of each package
- Download URL: download links for each Operating system and architecture:
- Download: use this option for Direct Download from OCI Console. You need to accept or acknowledge license terms according to the license type.
- Copy download command: use this option to copy download commands to be used in script friendly downloads. You need a valid token to use these commands. The selected token will be embedded into the download command.
- SHA 256: the SHA 256 value of each package is provided. Click Show to view or copy the value. The Checksum command is also provided where
.sha256is added to the download URL (also used in script friendly download).
- Direct Download from OCI Console: you need to accept or acknowledge license terms according to the license type.
Note
JDK docker file, script friendly download command, and checksum command need an active token. Select a token from the drop-down to see these items. If an active token is not available, then can create a token using Generate New Token action available in the same screen.
