Prerequisites for Exadata Cost Management
Before you enable cost management for your Exadata systems, you must ensure that you have the required permissions on the Ops Insights opsi-chargeback-plan resource-type. For information on Ops Insights resource-types and permissions, see Policy Details for Ops Insights.
In addition, the following policies, which include a service policy and a user policy, are required. These allow Ops Insights to access the cost management usage reports that provide billing data:
Service policy
The following service policy allows Ops Insights to read usage reports across the entire tenancy:
Allow any-user to read usage-report in tenancy where request.principal.type = 'opsiexadatainsight'User policy
The following user policy grants members of the specified group {name} read-only access to usage reports in the tenancy and to cost-related data within Ops Insights:
Allow group {name} to read usage-report in tenancyAccess to cost-related data within Ops Insights can be further scoped to the compartment where the Exadata system resource resides.
Allow group {name} to read usage-report in compartment ABCNote that you can use the Ops Insights Policy Advisor to configure these policies.
