OpenSearch cluster endpoint domain changed to oci.oraclecloud.com
- Services: Search with OpenSearch
- Release Date: September 15, 2022
The endpoints for OpenSearch clusters created on or after September 15th, 2022 use the oci.oraclecloud.com domain instead of the oci.oracleiaas.com domain. The oci.oraclecloud.com domain uses a publicly available certificate, which eliminates the requirement to download a private certificate to use when connecting to your cluster using the API endpoint. When accessing the cluster via the private IP, use the insecure mode that does not require a certificate. For example, when using Curl with the private IP, use the -k
or the --insecure
command line option.
If you have an existing cluster you connect to with oci.oracleiaas.com domain, and you want to migrate so that it uses the oci.oraclecloud.com domain, see Migrating Existing Clusters to Remove Certificate Download Requirement.
