Full Stack Disaster Recovery introduces support for PostgreSQL DB System and enhancements to moving compute instances
- Services: Full Stack Disaster Recovery
- Release Date: October 20, 2026
Full Stack Disaster Recovery introduces the following
new features. Now, you can:
- Add a PostgreSQL DB System to a Disaster Recovery (DR) Protection Group
and orchestrate switchovers and failovers between primary and warm standby DB
Systems across OCI regions. See the following new topics:
- Preparing PostgreSQL DB System for Disaster Recovery
- Add a PostgreSQL DB System to a Disaster Recovery Protection Group
- Policies for PostgreSQL DB System
Related updates are available in Prechecks Performed by Full Stack Disaster Recovery, Default Order of DR Plan Groups, and Full Stack DR Built-in Plan Groups for DR Plans.
- Configure a destination reserved private IP for moving instances to reserve a private IP address and hostname label in the standby region subnet. Existing DR Protection Groups can continue using the destination primary private IP address and hostname label fields. See Add a Moving Instance to a Disaster Recovery Protection Group.
- Configure drill-specific VNIC mappings for moving instances to launch standby instances in an isolated DR environment during drills, or reuse existing VNIC mappings. See Add a Moving Instance to a Disaster Recovery Protection Group.
