Backing up Storage

When creating a desktop pool in Secure Desktops, the desktop administrator can optionally select an Oracle defined backup policy to apply to the Block Volumes for desktop storage.

If you select a backup policy, the Block Volumes service backs up the volumes within the desktop pool. You can't change the backup policy after creating the desktop pool.

Oracle defined backup policies include Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each policy consists of schedules with a set backup frequency and a retention period that you can't change. See Oracle Defined Backup Policies to learn more about these policies.
