Desktop Becomes Disconnected

Desktops can become disconnected because of network issues.

If the network is unstable, short interruptions of the desktop connection can occur. When you're using the installed client, it can automatically reconnect and restore the desktop session for you.

Automatic reconnect isn't available in the web client. If the web client disconnects, open the desktop again from the Secure Desktops interface.

  1. If you're using the installed client and a reconnect message or similar visual indication appears, wait for the desktop to become available again. The client will try to reconnect for 5 minutes. If the desktop remains disconnected, or is stopped, then proceed to the next step.
  2. Try opening the desktop again.
  3. If the desktop doesn't open, ask the desktop administrator to restart the desktop, and then open the desktop again.
    Caution

The desktop session might not be saved and you might lose data.
