Working with Big Data Service Components

You can work with Hadoop components in Big Data Service clusters using Apache Ambari.

Apache Ambari provides a web user interface to manage and monitor the Hadoop components on Big Data Service clusters. Apache Ambari runs on the utility node of a cluster (or on the first utility node of a secure, highly-available (HA) cluster). For more information, see Using Apache Ambari.

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Load Balancer service provides automated traffic distribution from one entry point to multiple backend servers. You can use a load balancer with Big Data Service to provide the entry point for accessing services such as Apache Ambari, Hue, and JupyterHub (the Big Data Service notebook application).
