Monitor Alarms for External Database Systems

You can view the number of open alarms for your External Database System components.

The alarms in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring service monitor External Database System components such as Oracle Databases and listeners by using metrics and notify you when these metrics meet alarm-specified triggers. To monitor the alarms for these components in Database Management, the OCID of the component, for example, the ASM instance, must be specified using the resourceId dimension.

Note

This topic provides information on how to monitor the alarms raised for External Database System components, other than databases. For information on how to monitor alarms for the databases in an External Database System, see Monitor Alarms for Managed Databases.
