On instances that use the VM.Standard.E2.1.Micro shape, the kdump service will fail to start because the shape has less than 2 GB of memory. You must manually reserve memory for kdump by configuring the instance kernel parameters. To do this, use the following command:
edit /boot/efi/EFI/redhat/grub.confIn the instance kernel parameters, change
crashkernel=autotocrashkernel=<desired-value-in-MB>. For example, crashkernel=128M.Reboot the instance for the change to take effect.
