Notable Changes

Note

Oracle Linux Extended Support for Oracle Linux 6 ended on December 31, 2024. Oracle Linux 6 has moved to Sustaining Support. For more information, see Lifetime Support Policy.

The following changes are notable in this image update:

  • Includes OS updates from March 2021.
  • Enables Oracle Linux 6 Extended Support repositories.
  • Updates iscsi-initiator-utils to 6.2.0.873-27.0.19 to resolve an iSCSI login timeout issue on boot.

Note that changes to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure can occur outside of the release of a particular image but could impact an image. Oracle Linux platform images are based on the most recent release of Oracle Linux and are updated monthly. If you need to confirm the status of certifications, such as FIPS 140-3 or Common Criteria, see the Oracle Security Evaluations page for the latest information. FIPS mode is not enabled in Oracle Linux platform images. To modify this setting, see the FIPS section of the Oracle Linux Security Guide under Oracle Linux documentation or contact support for assistance.
