Unregistering a Management Station

Unregister a management station from OS Management Hub to remove it from the service.

What happens to the station when it's unregistered?

Unregistering restores the yum or DNF repository files to their state before the instance was registered with the service. Unregistering removes the OS Management Hub agent plugin from the station instance. You can also optionally remove the Management Agent software from the system.

Any instances that were using the station will be unable to communicate with OS Management Hub.

Unregister the station

  1. Navigate to the Management stations list page.
  2. In Applied filters, select the compartment that contains the management station.
  3. Select the name of the management station.
  4. From the Actions menu, select Unregister.
  5. Select Unregister in the confirmation dialog to unregister the station.

Remove the Management Agent (optional)

  1. If you no longer need to use the Management Agent service, remove the mgmt_agent package.
    sudo dnf remove oracle.mgmt_agent
  2. To remove the corresponding Management Agent resource from the Management Agent Cloud Service (MACS) in OCI, see Remove Management Agents.
