Version 4.11 of oci-fss-utils for File Storage in-transit encryption is available

A new version of oci-fss-utils for File Storage is now available.

Version 4.11 includes:

  • Support for both IPv6 and IPv4 protocols, enabling seamless operation in dual-stack network environments.
  • Support for Oracle Linux versions 7, 8, and 9 (OL7, OL8, OL9), ensuring compatibility across a broader range of enterprise environments.
  • Support for both on-premises Compute instances and OCI Compute instances as client machines for the package.
  • An update so that the package now creates only one forwarder process for all mounts instead of a forwarder for each unique mount.
  • The ability to mount an already mounted directory without error.
  • An update so that the OpenSSL certificate and IMDS certificate bundle are written to disk only when a change is detected in the any of the certificate bundles.

To upgrade, uninstall the previous version from the instance, and then install the new version. See Using In-Transit Encryption for instructions.
