Viewing Status of Desktops and Desktop Connections

View the status of desktops and desktop connection statuses for a desktop pool in Secure Desktops.

Status values displayed in the Status column include:

  • Active: The desktop is running and active. The desktop user can access this desktop.
  • Inactive: The desktop is stopped and inactive. The desktop user can't access this desktop.
  • Creating: The service is provisioning the desktop instance.
  • Updating: The service is starting or stopping the desktop instance.
  • Deleting: The service is deleting the desktop instance.
  • Deleted: The desktop has been deleted and can't be used.
  • Failed: The desktop has failed and can't be used.

Connection status values displayed in the various columns include:

  • Connection Duration: The duration for which a desktop was or still is connected.
  • Time Connected: The time when the last connection to a desktop started.
  • Time Disconnected: The time when the last connection to a desktop ended.
  • Next Action: The next action to be performed on a desktop. This is only applicable for desktops where the pool has a desktop management policy or has a pool schedule.
  • Next Action Time: The time when the next action is to be performed on a desktop. This is only applicable for desktops where the pool has a desktop management policy or has a pool schedule.
  • Last Action: The last action performed on a desktop.
  • Last Action Time: The time the last action was performed on a desktop.
  • Client Type: The type of Secure Desktops client connected to a desktop.
  • Client Version: The version of the Secure Desktops client connected to a desktop. This is applicable only to the installed client type.
  • Client Platform: The platform on which the Secure Desktops client runs.
  • Created: The time when the desktop was originally created.
  • Note

    To perform this task, you must be the desktop administrator.
    1. Open the navigation menu and select Compute. Under Secure Desktops, select Desktop Pools.
    2. Select the compartment that contains the desktop pool.
    3. Select the desktop pool name.
    4. On the Desktops tab, the status of each desktop is listed in the Status column.
  • Use the desktop-pool list-desktops command and required parameters to view the status of desktops in a desktop pool:
    oci desktops desktop-pool list-desktops --compartment-id <ocid> --desktop-pool-id <ocid> [OPTIONS]
