Creating a Maintenance Schedule and Fixing Compliance Issues

The establishment of the initial foundation is integral to the Fleet Application Management functionality, allowing for the scanning, identification, and maintenance of instances and products based on the initial setup. Later, Fleet Application Management conducts inventory scans, assesses compliance by comparing the discovered state with the expected state, and prompts you to rectify any noncompliance issues.

This process involves the creation of a maintenance schedule, whether within a selected time window or a customized timeframe and addressing the identified compliance gaps.

Perform the following steps:

  1. Create a fleet by selecting a product or product stack, for example, Apache Tomcat.
  2. After fleet validation and software inventory discovery based on your custom discovery runbook, confirm targets.
This action verifies the compliance states of the resources and targets in them.
  3. If the fleet is noncompliant, under the Fleet information tab, click Fix now to create a compliance fix job. Also, you can fix compliance by creating a schedule for a later time from the Schedules page.
Select the runbook for patching the Apache Tomcat product or product stack, and click Create.
These steps start the patching process and the resource is moved to a compliant state.
