Enabling or Disabling Ops Insights

Enable Ops Insights to view comprehensive information about resource utilization and capacity of HeatWave databases and hosts.

Using the Console

Use the Console to enable or disable Ops Insights on a DB system.

This task requires the following:
Do the following to enable or disable Ops Insights on a DB system:
  1. Open the navigation menu, and select Databases, and under HeatWave MySQL, select DB systems.
  2. Select the name of the DB system to open the DB system details page.
  3. To enable Ops Insights on the DB system, do the following:
    1. Find the Ops Insights field under Associated services, select Enable.
    2. In the Enable Ops Insights dialog box, select Enable.
      The DB system enters the Updating state and Ops Insights is enabled. Once Ops Insights is enabled, you can analyze the resource utilization of your HeatWave fleet, and use the information to perform capacity planning.
  4. To disable Ops Insights on the DB system, do the following:
    1. Find the Ops Insights field under Associated services, select Disable.
    2. In the Disable Ops Insights dialog box, select Disable.
      The DB system enters the Updating state and Ops Insights is disabled.
