New Release of Secure Desktops
- Services: Secure Desktops
- Release Date: February 10, 2026
This release includes the following enhancements:
-
The Console UI has been updated to the Redwood Design.
-
Administrators control which local client devices can be accessed by the desktop. This release extends this functionality to camera input. Access to client devices is disabled by default. See Creating a Desktop Pool: Device Access Policy.
-
In addition to desktop status, the administrator console provides current connection details and history for desktops in a pool. See Viewing Status of Desktops and Desktop Connections.
-
A desktop pool can be configured so that a desktop is terminated when the user disconnects. A configurable grace period applies.
-
The desktop boot volume size can be configured when creating the desktop pool. In addition, the boot volume size can be updated for new desktops launched in an existing pool.
-
To change the compute image used for deploying desktops, you no longer need to delete the pool and create a new one. The image used in the desktop pool can be replaced, assuming the new image is of the same OS type and compatible with the pool shape.
