Desktop Images
A desktop image is a compute image with additional configuration applied, used by the desktops in a desktop pool.
You will need to create your own desktop images to customize them for your organization and desktop user requirements. For example, you may need to install applications or set firewall rules. There are also customizations required by Secure Desktops such as boot disk size and software required to interact with the service. To ensure you have these in place, it is recommended that you start with one of the base images provided by Oracle for use in Secure Desktops. See Supported Images. Otherwise, follow the instructions for Configuring Desktop Images.
The Secure Desktops service has no visibility of the content of the desktops created from an image. You are responsible for the content of the desktops, even if created from a base image. See also Patching.
