Enabling Logs using the Deliverability Dashboard
Email Delivery integrates with the Logging service to provide service logs for Email Domains. Email Domain Logs provide detailed information on email submission, relaying/delivery, and recipient interaction (including bounces, spam complaints, unsubscribes, and engagement).
You can enable logs with the Deliverability Dashboard page, on the web Console details page for any Email Domain, or through the Logging service itself.
To enable logs using the Deliverability Dashboard:
- Open the navigation menu and click Developer Services. Under Application Integration, click Email Delivery. Under Email Delivery, click Deliverability Dashboard.
- Click Enable Logging.
- In the Enable Resource Logging dialog box, specify the following information:
- In the Select Resource section, select a compartment from the Resource Compartment menu and enable logs on all domains or on specific email domains. When enabling logs on specific email domain, select the domain from the Select Domains list.
- In the Logs Location and Configuration section, specify the following information:
- The Log Names are created automatically.
- The Log Category is enabled for both log categories automatically.
- In Compartment, select the compartment of the resource.
- To create a log group, enable Create new Log Group.
- To select an existing log group, enable Select an existing Log Group and select a log group from the list.
- In Log Retention (click Show Additional Options), select a value from the list:
- 1 month (the default)
- 2 months
- 3 months
- 4 months
- 5 months
- 6 months
- Apply any tagging-related information in the Tag Namespace, Tag Key, and Value fields.
- Click Enable.

You can search these logs using the Deliverability Dashboard, or the more powerful Logging Search page. OCI also offers an API method for searching logs.
